BEDFORD PARK, Ill., Feb 20, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ --Appoints Other Officers-Corn
Products International, Inc. (NYSE: CPO) today announced that its board of
directors elected Eugene J. Northacker, 60, as a corporate vice president. He
has also been named the president North America division.
Jorge L. Fiamenghi, 46, who is a corporate vice president, has been appointed
the president South America division.
Northacker and Fiamenghi will report to Sam Scott, chairman, president and chief
Scott said, "We are pleased that (Gene) Northacker will lead our corn- refining
business in North America. He has served in a number of key positions within the
Company, including successful development of our South American business."
Scott added, "I appreciate (Jorge) Fiamenghi returning to head South America
again, bringing his business acumen and years of experience in the entire
region, including Argentina."
The Company also announced that Jack C. Fortnum, 45, corporate vice president,
has been named the president US region. He will report to Northacker. Fortnum
has served in operations and financial roles in the United States, Argentina and
